The titration system (Hi-PAP) is a portable, wireless pressure measuring device with an accessory unit that delivers a continuous titration signal. The continuous signal is converted by the patient’s mask to an analogue voltage. Several pressure transducers and a microprocessor-based signal processor analyse the artefact and report the optimum PAP value. At least three titration trials with variable PAP values are necessary until the optimum pressure value is defined.
